Shiomi Sazanami Park opens
On 25 December 2001 (Heisei 13), Shiomi Sazanami Park opened in Shiomi 1-chōme.
According to the ward's park register, its address is Shiomi 1-29-24 and it covers 7,575.76 m². At this time Shiomi's population was growing quickly: the resident register rose more than fourfold, from 1,258 people in January 2000 to 5,108 in January 2003.
